Short description of your art.

My medium is Acrylic. I usually make Native sceneries with sunsets of shades of oranges, reds and yellows. I paint butterflies, shall dancers, flowers, lakes, trees, ect.

Where did you learn your art?

Self learning and I enjoy Nature.

Where do you find inspiration for your work?

My Native culture, my inspirations and my dreams.

Have you received any formal training?

No, i just the love painting and making people feel good when they buy my Art.

What other art forms do you practice?

I've learned bead work and sewing by my mother in our community.

Have you ever received any awards or special recognition?

Yes I've been nominated for "Ranyon du Gala" in march 2020 and had two different expositions; One at Complex Marcel-Monette at Val en Art/Librarie and the other one at the MRC in Val d'Or.

Do you sell your work? If so, how?

Yes I do sell my Art in Private Sectors such as Cree Communities and in Val d'Or. I've also made calendars in 2019 -2020.

Has your art work ever been mentioned in any media?

yes, I've been in several articles for " L'Indice Bohemien", for my "Moose project" in park Berard and my Mural at Le Papillon d'Or, Also a Radio interview. I was also in le Bulletin "Contact" for " Journée de la Culture 2019" called "Les petits bonheurs". For a course i gave on painting for children with their parents.

One of my buyers were, Sylvie Berube Deputy of Abitibi-Baie-James-Nunavik-Eeyou bought 2 of my Art. Also the MRC of Val d'Or bought a painting on the request for a wellness card for their employees.

I've Donated a painting for Chez Willy to help with the homelessness here in VD. I would also mention that the 80 meters long Mural at " ecole Papillon d'Or" was funded by the "Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Quebec". And I am currently on the process of making a second Mural for the University of Abitibi Temiscaming in the First Nations sector.
