Short description of your art.

I've been a drummer since I was 11 years old. When my parents bought me my first drumset on Christmas, they bought me a nice green Pearl drumset. And throughout the years, I've helped different people and groups, mainly in gospel/Christian music. I've got the chance to travel with Flaming Fire Ministries throughout Canada and be their backup drummer. They even included me to record on two of their albums (Far above and Psalms 23). In 2009/2010, I received a music scholarship to attend a Christian music school in Tampa, Florida, USA. I've got to be a part of their Great Awakening television program as their drummer, broadcasted throughout America and worldwide.

Where did you learn your art?

Self-taught and music school.

Where do you find inspiration for your work?

I found my inspiration to play the drums as a kid from two people from Mistissini. My late uncle Peter Shecapio was an incredible drummer. He was a part of the music group Chief Shepherd Band. And James Shecapio, the drummer for Flaming Fire Ministries.

Please provide any other information you would like to mention.

I will always honour and never shy away from where it all started, and as of today, I am more open to playing different genres of music. I also enjoy photography and filming live events such as local concerts and editing all my work myself. I am currently a student at the Mistissini Adult Learning Centre. I'm enrolled in upgrading and studying to get my high school diploma. I plan to move down south and enroll in a media, literature and arts program. But who knows what the future holds for me because all I have is today, and I'm taking it one day at a time, and I might come back and change my bio.
