I started exploring arts and crafts at a very young age. I live in my home community, Wemindji, working full time and on my time off, I enjoy drawing, painting and beading as my main hobbies. All of my work are done out of love and passion for the art form, it is rare that I sell as I often gift most of my work, although I would like to start selling my work more.
When it comes to drawing and painting, I am mostly self-taught. I did do a one year post-secondary Design Foundations program where I had some art classes that taught the basics but for me, a lot of trial and error was my way of learning! For beading, I learned in school and I also used a lot of online resources and today I just experiment to see what works.
