OUJÉ-BOUGOUMOU, QC June 20, 2019– The Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association (CNACA) announces its 13th Annual General Meeting to be held on August 14-15, 2019 at the Mitchuap Auditorium in Chisasibi, QC. This year’s theme is “Cree arts for our future generations”
The Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association Annual General Meeting will have its general elections of the new Board of Directors and review of General by-laws and annual reports. It is with honor, respect, and gratitude that we extend an invitation to all members of the association as well as the general public to join us as we present the activities of the association.
What: 13th Annual General Assembly for Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association
When: August 14-15, 2019, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Where: Mitchuap Auditorium, Chisasibi, QC
For the past few years, the Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association has made progress in providing the services and pro¬grams required by the artistic communities of Eeyou Istchee. The objective of this year’s theme is to promote additional support for our artists and artisans while encouraging the Cree leadership and communities to create a partnership to increase the production of works of art done by our people. Our goal is to provide our Artists & Artisans the opportunity to flourish and continue to create the beautiful works of art in Eeyou Istchee.
A new event was added this year, The Eeyou Istchee Arts & Crafts Marketplace will be the pillar to showcase the arts and crafts. The event will be held at the Mitchuap Auditorium from 7PM-9PM on August 14 & 15th. Artists will be able to sell crafts and network. A section will be reserved for performers and musicians.
