SUBJECT: Invitation to 17th Annual Member’s Assembly; Cree Native Arts and Crafts Association

Dear Member,

On behalf of the members of the Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association (CNACA), I would like to extend an invitation to you in participating as a delegate at our 17th Annual Members’ Assembly to be held in Whapmagoostui at the Gymnasium of the Whapmagoostui First Nation Sports Complex on March 6th & 7th, 2024. This years’ theme is: ‘Innovation and Integrity: Nurturing Cree Artistry with IP Protection.’

Your presence would be greatly appreciated. This will give you an opportunity to hear the advancement of the Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association and the success of developing the Cree Artists and Artisans of Eeyou Istchee. The Cree Native Arts and Crafts Association continues to make progress in the attempt to provide the services and programs required by the artistic communities of Eeyou Istchee.

Our Wachiya online store opened in March of 2023. Since then, we have grown our social media presence, made strides in sales, and have attended many marketing events. We look forward to sharing our successes with Wachiya at this years Annual Member’s Assembly, in addition to discussing our upcoming goals.

This year’s objectives will focus on the successful creations of the Local Arts Committees in Eeyou Istchee and promotional support for our artists and artisans. We encourage the Cree leadership and communities to continue creating partnerships to increase the production of works of arts done by our people. Our primary goal is to give the opportunity to our artists andand artisans. The Cree Native Arts and Crafts Association is requesting your confirmation to attend the meeting by February 12th by email at administration@cnaca.ca or by telephone at (418)-745-2444 extension 3000. Please note that this event will be livestreamed via CNACA’s Facebook page if you are not able to attend in person.

Once you confirm, we will send you the appropriate documents and information prior to the assembly.
