Ouje-Bougoumou, Qc. Feb 3, 2025 – The Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association (CNACA) is proud to announce its 18th Annual Members Assembly, taking place on February 12-13, 2025, at the Sports Complex in Mistissini, Qc.
This two-day gathering will feature corporate updates, financial reports, local arts committee updates, workshops, presentations, entertainment, and more. Attendees can look forward to workshops on topics such as starting an arts and crafts business, accessing funding resources, sponsorship programs, marketing strategies, and more. Evening entertainment and a vibrant marketplace will showcase local and visiting vendors, celebrating the talent and creativity of our community. A full schedule and program will be shared prior to the event.
This year’s theme is “Weaving Our Future with Threads of the Past”.
This year’s theme reflects CNACA’s dedication to preserving the rich traditions of Cree arts and crafts while fostering innovation and growth within the cultural industries of Eeyou Istchee. The theme emphasizes the balance between heritage and opportunity, inspiring the next generation of creators and entrepreneurs to thrive while remaining deeply connected to their roots.
