Ouje-Bougoumou, QC. August 31, 2023 – The Cree Native Arts and Crafts Association (CNACA) announces the departure of Gaston Cooper, who has served as CNACA’s Executive Director for 5 years. Gaston will be stepping down from his position to take on a new role as Chief of Ouje-Bougoumou. CNACA extends its sincerest appreciation for Gaston’s dedicated leadership and accomplishments during his tenure.
Under Gaston’s guidance, CNACA achieved significant milestones, including the reopening of the Wachiya store, development of the Local Arts Committees, and many more achievements. His visionary leadership has driven the organization’s growth and impact, setting the stage for continued success in years to come.
Gaston has been an inspiring leader and a driving force behind the success of CNACA. He has led with passion, dedication, and a deep commitment to CNACA’s mission, leaving an enduring mark on our organization. As Gaston embarks on this new chapter of his career, CNACA wishes him every success in his new role as Chief of Ouje-Bougoumou.
To ensure a seamless transition, CNACA has initiated a thorough search for a new Executive Director. The organization is committed to finding a dynamic leader who will build upon the foundation laid by Gaston Cooper and guide CNACA towards even greater achievements.
