Notice of the 2025 Eastmain Arts Symposium
Ouje-Bougoumou, QC. March 17, 2025 – The Cree Native Arts and Crafts Association (CNACA) is proud to announce the Eastmain Arts Symposium, taking place on March 21, 2025, in Eastmain, QC at the Eastmain Sports Complex. This full-day event will run from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, bringing together Cree artists, artisans, and cultural leaders for a day of creative exchange, learning, and celebration.
The symposium will feature a diverse lineup of workshops and discussions aimed at fostering artistic growth, cultural preservation, and community connection. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with established and emerging Cree artists, explore traditional and contemporary art forms, and exchange ideas on the future of Cree arts and crafts.
A highlight of the day will be the Marketplace and Evening Entertainment, starting at 6:00 PM. The marketplace will showcase a curated selection of authentic Cree arts and crafts, providing a platform for local artisans to share their work with the community and visitors. The evening will also feature live music from headliner, Peyakutenuu, and more.
